I am a dedicated social worker with a lifelong passion for empowering individuals, families, and communities. I earned my Bachelor’s degree from Eastern Illinois University and my Master of Social Work from the University of Illinois at Urbana–Champaign. Through my work in both community and school settings, I have had the privilege of supporting youth and families as they build the social-emotional skills and support systems necessary for both academic and personal success.
My ideal clients are children, adolescents, and families who are navigating social, emotional, behavioral, or life transitions and are seeking support, stability, and personal growth. Many of the individuals I work with may be experiencing anxiety, stress, trauma, school-related challenges, family conflict, or difficulty managing emotions and relationships. They are often looking for a safe and supportive environment where they can feel heard, understood, and guided as they develop coping strategies and confidence.
I strive to create a warm, collaborative space where clients feel respected and empowered. My work is grounded in a strengths-based, trauma-informed, and culturally responsive approach that honors each person’s unique experiences and background. I recognize that life experiences, culture, and environment shape emotional well-being, and I am committed to providing care that is inclusive, affirming, and compassionate.
In my practice, I incorporate evidence-based approaches such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Solution-Focused Therapy, Social-Emotional Learning (SEL) strategies, Motivational Interviewing, and mindfulness-based techniques. These approaches help clients better understand their thoughts and emotions, build healthy coping skills, strengthen communication, and develop practical strategies for change.
I support clients in addressing concerns such as anxiety, behavioral challenges, trauma responses, relationship difficulties, and life transitions. I also work closely with families to strengthen understanding, communication, and connection within the home. My goal is to help clients build resilience, discover their strengths, and gain the tools they need to thrive at home, in school, and within their communities.
