Skylar Hetrick, LSW ( Located Virtually in PA, MA, VA, NJ, FL and IL)
I am a Licensed Social Worker who is passionate about supporting individuals through life’s challenges with empathy, authenticity, and respect. I believe in meeting clients where they are and creating a safe, nonjudgmental space where they feel heard, understood, and empowered to grow.
I work with adolescents and adults navigating anxiety, emotional regulation challenges, stress, relationship concerns, and life transitions. I also bring extensive experience working with children and teens, allowing me to approach therapy with flexibility, creativity, and a strengths-based perspective tailored to each client’s developmental needs.
My therapeutic style is collaborative, practical, and grounded in evidence-based, trauma-informed practices. I draw from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Motivational Interviewing, attachment-based and psychodynamic approaches, and solution-focused techniques. Together, we focus on building coping skills, strengthening emotional awareness, and developing tools that clients can use in their everyday lives.
I support individuals facing anxiety, depression, ADHD-related challenges, addiction and substance use concerns, self-esteem struggles, parenting stress, trauma, and major life changes. My goal is to help clients feel more balanced, confident, and equipped to manage life’s demands while fostering deeper self-understanding and resilience.
If you are feeling overwhelmed or stuck, therapy can be a space to gain clarity, learn practical skills, and move toward meaningful change. I strive to create a supportive partnership where growth feels possible and progress feels sustainable.
